Welcome to the Medicine Wheel
The Medicine Wheel is a year-long Shamanic Apprenticeship program rooted in the wisdom teachings of the Q'ero shamans of Peru and cross-cultural methodologies as taught by Alberto Villoldo. This is a virtual program co-taught by Eleni Richmond and Tina Ritz. Both are graduates of the Cross-cultural and Peruvian Medicine Wheel and have journeyed around the Medicine Wheel multiple times as facilitators and students.
During this training, students will focus on one direction per three-month cycle beginning in the South with Serpent, continuing to the West with Jaguar, moving to the North with Hummingbird, and completing the journey in the East with Eagle/Condor.
Each direction of the Medicine Wheel offers its own teachings and set of healing techniques. Accompanied by the archetypal energy of each direction, participants will create and build relationships with these guides as Power Animals. These Power Animals bring their own divine medicine to the work and guide the practitioner during personal healing work and in the performance of healing sessions on others.
Through guided practice, students will learn proficiency in core healing methods and thus learn to perform Shamanic Healing Sessions. Students will practice these methods with one another.
What is Shamanism?
Shamans and practitioners work in the non-ordinary realities to see what is hidden from our ordinary consciousness.
Translations include Healer, “one who sees in the dark” or “one who knows.”
Shamans and Shamanic Practitioners:
Work with helping Spirits to divine information for communities or individuals
Shamanic Journey to the different worlds within a cosmology to retrieve healing information
Perform Healing Sessions
Help to heal land, remove intrusive energies, and address the spiritual aspect of illness
Perform ceremonies to help bring balance, ask for assistance, and give gratitude
Work with death and dying, helping souls to transition

Munay-Ki Rites
Throughout each direction, the students will receive certain rites to activate the powers of their gifts and connect them to the lineage that has bestowed these teachings.
The Munay-Ki rites are a series of nine initiations designed to heal individuals from ancestral and emotional wounds and upgrade the energetic field.

(In addition to the Munay-Ki Rites, participants will receive an additional rite that was transmitted to Tina by Spirit).
(All of these rites are optional to receive).
Completion
At the end of the program, if one so chooses to offer Shamanic Healing Sessions or the Munay-Ki Rites to others, they will have the tools to do so.
There is a final graduation weekend to fully close the program at the end of the year.

Participants are encouraged to gather these materials before the apprenticeship begins. If there are some pieces you need specific guidance on where to purchase, please reach out to Tina or Eleni.

Ceremonial rattle
Pendulum
Twelve khuyas (healing stones). You will acquire these as we move through the Wheel. We will prompt you throughout each direction on when to start acquiring these stones as they are specific to each direction (you do not have to buy these).
Mesa cloth (altar cloth) This can be purchased or you can use a linen/scarf/tapestry that you already have.
Ceremonial knife and mirror
Journal or dedicated notebook
Herbs for smoke cleansing (such as sage, palo santo, cedar, or other sacred herbs)
Candle for ceremony
Pi Stones and Lineage Stones (we will discuss this later in the training, don't worry about this right now)

Our final gathering celebrates the completion of the apprenticeship with graduation, ceremony, and integration of the year's journey.

Investment: $1,500
A payment plan is available for $125 per month for 12 months.
Because this apprenticeship is designed as a comprehensive year-long experience, enrollment represents a commitment to the full program. All tuition payments are non-refundable.
